Our Process

Learn

We first LEARN from voices dedicated to reconciliation, racial justice and allyship. We offer classes and book cohorts about allyship and history learning.

Give

We intentionally  GIVE of our financial resources to leaders of colors that work for justice and equity. We believe in trust-based philanthropy.

Live Out Justice

We LIVE OUT JUSTICE in our daily lives by engaging in new relationships, using our voices, skills and resources to uplift and empower BIPOC organizations and people. We won’t always get it right, but we will act in courage.

Community

We BUILD COMMUNITY by creating spaces where aspiring allies connect, support one another, and grow together in their justice journeys. Through our cohorts, gatherings, and ongoing conversations, we foster authentic relationships that sustain long-term commitment to racial equity, ensuring no one walks this path alone and that collective action amplifies individual impact.

Past Events
  • One thing I have really appreciated about being part of the Flourish Collective is their commitment to a posture of humility and of listening. It has been refreshing to be part of a community with those priorities.

    Sharon Hensley, Flourish Ally

  • Thanks to The Flourish Collective, we’ve been able to impact hundreds of girls in Berkeley. This vision started as an attempt to bring black girls together to have their own space to flourish, to be in a safe and brave space to learn solidarity, positive body identity. Black Girls United is now on every middle school campus in Berkeley because of the Flourish Collective.

Tanisha Walton, Founder of Black Girls United

  • Over 6000 kids and young adults have been through the program and over 90% do not return to the criminal legal system when this new community is a part of their lives. They also help with the practicalities of this new life such as housing and employment. The Flourish Collective made this possible. We are so proud of this investment in workers who are making a difference halting the school to prison pipeline.
