Dr Martha Bireda Spring 6 Week Book Cohort

Register Here. Dr Bireda will once again host a Six Week Cohort startingTuesday April 19th 4:30PM - 6PM PST through Tuesday May 31st (Tuesday May 3 will be off) with The Flourish Collective on her book, A Time For Change, How White Supremacy Ideology Harms All Americans. She leads with incredible grace and kindness as she bring people to a deeper understanding of the roots and history of systemic racism. Racism has taken away our human connection and Dr. Bireda desires to bring it back with her investment in us. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to sit under the leadership of a woman who lived through the Jim Crow era in an intimate (Zoom) setting.

Martha R. Bireda, PhD, is director of the Blanchard House Museum of African American History and Culture, located in Punta Gorda, Florida. For over 30 years, Dr. Bireda has consulted, lectured, written about, and provided assistance to school districts, law enforcement agencies, and corporations concerning issues related to race, gender, class, culture, and power.

“A Time for Change: How White Supremacy Ideology Harms All Americans is a blueprint for change. I want to commend Dr. Bireda for delineating how White America's treatment of minorities under the banner of White Supremacy has severely damaged democracy. For several centuries the White Supremacy system has disenfranchised and marginalized Blacks and other non-white races. A Time for Change is a document, if implemented, that can bring all Americans together to help eradicate these inequities.

-- Sammie L. Welton, retired race desegregation coordinator, Mississippi Department of Education

At the end of the cohort, there will be a suggested donation per person to honor Dr Bireda for her time and talents.
